The first thing is that if it is leaking,then it must be replaced!
 
A.  When the shock absorber leaks, it can still be driven normally, but the direct effect of the shock absorber without damping is the reduction of comfort. If the speed is very fast, even a very smooth road will cause ups and downs, which will seriously reduce the stability of the vehicle. If there is an emergency at this time, after the sudden braking, the center of gravity of the body moves forward, compressing the spring, because there is no shock absorber work, even though the car stops, its body will continue to rise and fall.
 
B.   If pass a high-speed cornering, the center of gravity moves to the outside of the turning direction, and the outer spring is compressed. After returning to the straight line, the body is constantly swaying from side to side due to the absence of the shock absorber. A vehicle with a center of gravity moving up and down and shaking left and right is very dangerous when driving at high speed!
 
C.  If the damper fail to work, in addition to affecting the comfort of the driving, it will have a great influence on the stability of the car. It will also affect the normal operation of other components in the suspension and even damage its life.
 
Therefore, it is recommended that the owner should replace the new shock absorber in time.Because the potential high-speed safety hazard is more important than the loss of comfort.
1. Check for oil leaks:
The key inspection items are checking if there is a damage for :
the oil seal gasket and the sealing gasket, and the storage tank cover. Check whether these parts have loose nuts.
2. If oil spills are found, timely remedial measures should be taken:
First tighten the cylinder head nut. If the damper still leaks oil, then the oil seal and gasket should be damaged. Replace the new seal.
 If the oil leakage still cannot be eliminated, pull out the vibration damping rod. If there is a hairpin or light weight, check whether the gap between the piston and the cylinder is too large, and check whether the damper piston connecting rod is bent or not,whether the surface and the cylinder are scratched or scratched.
If the damper does not leak oil, then check the damper connecting pin, connecting rod, connecting hole, rubber bushing, etc. To see if there is any damage, desoldering, cracking or falling off.
If the above inspection is normal, the damper should be further decomposed to check about the following items:whether the matching clearance between the piston and the cylinder is too large;whether there is a strain in the cylinder;whether the valve seal is good;whether the valve flap and the valve seat are tightly attached;and whether the tension spring of the vibrator is too soft or broken, and repair or repair according to the situation.
In addition, the damper will have a sounding fault in actual use, it mainly because the damper collides with the leaf spring, the frame or the shaft, the rubber pad is damaged or detached, and the damper dust cylinder is deformed. If it is caused by insufficient reasons, etc.,then the cause should be identified and repaired.
